Terms of service.

Workshop Terms and Conditions

There is a high probability that sensitive information may be disclosed during group classes.

We allow clients to share stories at their discretion on their recovery journey. However, we recognise the risk associated with disclosing personal information. Craft and community offer the opportunity for our clients to open up about adverse life experiences and to build authentic human connections based on foundations of openness, trust, honesty and respect.

We recognise the courage it takes to speak your truth, and we believe that in doing so, clients can begin to lay the foundations for their emotional recovery journey. We want to highlight the importance of confidentiality and trust when engaging in our services, so we have laid out some ground rules and community guidelines, which we ask you to read and then sign in agreement with our terms of service.

Community Guidelines

1.     Everyone is to be treated as an equal; inclusivity is central, and no one individual will be singled out or denied access to participation.

2.     Any shared stories will be kept private within the group. Sharing of information with the group will not be tolerated. Anyone caught in information sharing to create gossip and rumours will be asked to leave the group. This will be highlighted in our privacy policy. The opportunity to return to the group will be granted later, depending on a relevant apology.

3.     Where sensitive information discloses a risk of immediate harm to clients or others, information may be shared with the correct authorities and health workers. Clients will be informed of this process.

4.     All stories will be treated with trust and respect, and no judgement will be held.

5.     Rumour spreading, gossiping, and bullying will not be tolerated. If anyone in the group becomes the target of such behaviour, perpetrators will be questioned and, if necessary, asked to leave. Instances should be reported in the first instance, and an investigation will be carried out accordingly. We operate on a zero-tolerance policy in cases of bullying.

6.     Gender-Based Violence / Sexual Harassment will not be tolerated, we operate on a zero-tolerance policy, and matters will be taken seriously and dealt with in the first instance.

7.     No showing up under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If such instances were to arise, this would result in the individual under the influence being asked to leave.

8.     We have a No Contact social media Policy. This policy means we do not allow clients to add staff on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. This is to ensure the client’s safety and the staff's safety.

9.     We will sometimes go on trips out in the community setting. We will provide transport fares where needed, but by agreeing to go on trips, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for any accidents.

Credit notes will be raised for any missing or damaged items.

Sale or Return

We do not operate a Sale or Return Policy.

Exclusivity

As a Social Enterprise, we do not offer exclusivity to customers as our main aim is to tell as many people as possible about the Dundee Community Craft CIC artisans and their talents. You can check our existing Stockist list under the ‘Stockist’ tab on our website. We try to keep it updated monthly and count a Stockist as someone who has ordered in the last 18 months (rolling). Alternatively, you can email us, and we will tell you which other stockists we have in your area. Please note that we can only list the outlets our Stockists tell us about.

Pricing

Dundee Community Craft CIC sell at Trade and Retail. We set our Trade and RRP prices per the ones currently on our Online Shop. Occasionally, in line with market forces, we may have to increase our pricing. In some instances, we may reduce it. We will endeavour to inform existing customers as and when that happens. Dundee Community Craft CIC reserves the right to sell and/or package up some products for Retail only.

Rebates, Settlement Fees, Commercial Agreements etc.

Our Terms & Conditions and Pricing are laid out as above. As a Social Enterprise, we aim to be 100% self-sustaining via Sales. The margins we set and work to are designed to help us do that. Consequently, we cannot agree to third-party Rebates, Settlement Fees or Commercial Agreements.

Imagery and Content for third-party marketing

We can supply images and content for third parties to use for marketing. Don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of the marketing team at manager@dundeecommunitycraft.co.uk to find out more.

Data protection

The data you provide us when you set up an account via our website and then when you place an order will not be shared with any other party. Dundee Community Craft CIC will only use the data you provide us for business purposes, namely: the delivery and invoicing of orders and all associated processes; the communication of price or policy changes; the communication of new product launches or product dis-continuation; the communication of trade show and/or other relevant events. We publish a Stockist List on our website showing customers who have bought our products in the last 18 months (rolling). That stockist list will only show your shop name and address.

Artwork and Licenses

Dundee Community Craft CIC owns the rights to all artwork created by Dundee Community Craft CIC artists. Dundee Community Craft CIC is responsible for all ways the original artwork goes on to be represented and takes the responsibility very seriously. Dundee Community Craft CIC artwork cannot be used by any other party in any other way unless Dundee Community Craft CIC gives full consent in advance after significant discussion.

Product sales sustain Dundee Community Craft CIC along with donations, and every penny helps us to keep offering the service we do to the artists we support. We would be very grateful for a donation, but you are not obliged in any way.
